Horse Training

Horses benefit from a good training program that meets them where they are at. It is our mission to train your horse to become a better partner for you. Whether that starts with the horse's foundation or entails finishing him in a discipline of your choice. We believe that all horses should be exposed to the versatility of different disciplines. Show horses perform better when they get to go on relaxing trail rides on a regular basis. And trail horses are easier to ride once they learned how to balance in an arena setting and are familiar with basic body control.

Ranch Horse Training

In preparation to be a competitive Ranch Horse, our training horses are desensitized to a large variety of obstacles and objects. Horses learn how to move their body parts away from pressure effortlessly and how to give to the bridle laterally and vertically. We focus on developing balanced gaits and work on their extensions during strength training sessions. Horses can be worked on the mechanical flag and we will soon have live cattle at this location to work.

Colt starting

It is never too early to start your horse's training! Groundwork in form of desensitizing but also yielding to pressure builds a solid foundation for all future jobs your horse may face. Horses that are physically and mentally ready and at least 2 years old, can be started under saddle and learn the basics.

Trail Horses

Are you hoping to make your horse more reliable and fearless on the trails? We have about 200 acres of trails to ride, a river crossing and a pond to cross. After learning how to go out with other horses and also by himself, your horse will soon be a safe mount.

Tune-ups

Do you have a horse that sat in the pasture for a while and want to ride it again? Bring your horse for a tune-up so we can refresh all things arena work or get out on the trails!
